Sales Antics

Hmm... just a post to find out from friends, buyers and sellers, other blogshop owners on sales antics encountered.

What are the funny encounters you experienced with buyers or sellers? Maybe not funny, but maybe undesirable? Or you have wonderful experiences? I just thought of sharing mine!

Encounter one -

This was related to me by a fellow blogshop owner. I was told that there was this particular customer named Ms XXXXXX whom liked to bargain. Normal bargaining I would understand, but not those kind that makes you lose faith in your own communication skills. Well anyway, this blogshop owner was offered a toy by Ms XXXXXX for like maybe $30, only to find out that Ms XXXXXX was trying to bargain and buy the same toy from ANOTHER blogshop for say $20? What a bummer... Don't people know that it is a very small circle here? Catching your own toy for $1 and selling for $30 is understandable as it's luck as well... but.... hmm.... Well some could argue that if she manages to pull it through, it's her luck as well!!!

Encounter two -

I met a buyer last weekend. Well, we arranged to meet at Dhoby Gaut Mrt station. I knocked off early and went walking around whilst waiting... She came late, well, not that late actually since I also had to wait for another blogshop owner who was really late! (Not that it bothers me too much as it was a Friday after all and I had no life.) When I finally met her, she was truly apologetic. Kept saying sorry, and even gave me a bag of cookies! I kept rejecting but she kept pushing the bag to me... Well, I guess I couldn't refuse a nice bag of choc chip cookies. :) Thanks to the buyer whom shall remain as Ms XXXXX, you know who you are! And also to the blogshop owner who swapped toys with me! :)
